Just establishing a partnership, OANDA, a giant forex broker from America, reportedly closed its social trading platform, Currensee. OANDA officially announced This shocking news through a note on the company's forum.
"Today, we inform all participating parties that on October 31, 2014, Curensee and the OANDA Trade Leaders Program (OTLP) will stop operating. This is done following a strategic review, including feedback from our customers worldwide, where trading activity is still a top priority.
Therefore, we will focus on OANDA's core principles of superior execution, competitive spreads, integration with leading industries such as MT4, provision of analytical tools from Autochartist, and reliable knowledge resources ( forex). Inquiries can be directly addressed to the email address [email protected]".
Second Failure
The acquisition of Curensee is OANDA's second attempt to create a new breakthrough in the forex trading community. OANDA's first social trading platform, fxUnity, which was launched in 2012, has been closed for several reasons, such as the platform's lack of openness and appreciation for signal providers.
OANDA's decision adds to the long list of brokers who have cut ties with social trading platforms. Previously Alpari was divorcing TraderConnect and IBFX, ending the Connect network. On the other hand, the RoboForex broker has just built CopyFX social trading, hoping it will become the mainstay of social trading platforms for forex traders.
