eToro, the Israel-based brokerage firm, has entered into prominent sponsorship agreements with four English football clubs, namely Arsenal, West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Everton, for the upcoming season. This move aligns with eToro's commitment to its community-oriented approach.
To further diversify its sponsorships, eToro is expanding its presence in football leagues, including male and female teams, particularly within the Women's Super League (WSL). This strategic decision comes as eToro's female client base has surged to record levels, reaching 33% since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of the sponsorship agreements, eToro will gain valuable branding exposure through perimeter advertising within the stadiums during all matches played by the four clubs throughout the season.
By partnering with these football clubs, eToro aims to tap into the vast global fanbase, including female traders, strengthening its product and service outreach in the UK market. This initiative aligns with the growing interest in women's football, as evidenced by the record-breaking audience of 540 million during the Women's World Cup 2019, with further anticipated success in the upcoming tournament on July 20, 2023.
Stephanie Wilks-Wiffen, Director of Marketing at eToro, noted the evolving landscape of football and investing, with an increasing number of female retail investors actively participating on the eToro platform.
