eToro has extended its foray into sports sponsorship by entering into a two-year partnership with Dutch football club AZ Alkmaar. The agreement, officially sealed at the AFAS Stadium in Alkmaar, will solidify the collaboration until mid-2025.
Eelco David Vos, the regional manager for the Netherlands and the Nordic Region at the social trading firm, announced on June 28th. While the specific details of the partnership were not disclosed, Vos emphasized the alignment between AZ's approach and eToro's philosophy of challenging the status quo through openness to new ideas and a willingness to experiment.
"With innovation and team spirit, AZ has earned its place in Dutch soccer's upper echelons. This approach aligns with eToro's philosophy of challenging the established order by embracing new ideas and daring experimentation. By learning from each other, we make investing accessible to everyone," wrote David Vos in a LinkedIn post.
AZ Alkmaar's Commercial Director, Michael Koster, also expressed optimism about the partnership's potential for mutual development. He highlighted the shared values of community and continuous improvement through innovative solutions, which both AZ and eToro embraced.
Koster expressed his satisfaction with the close collaboration between eToro and the club for the next two years. He noted that eToro shares AZ's commitment to the community and the ongoing improvement of individuals and their performance through innovative solutions.
