Daniel Gladding, a former executive employee of the now-defunct fintech brokerage Oval Money, has assumed the role of Chief Risk Officer at eToro UK.
Gladding, who spent two and a half years in risk management at Oval Money before its closure in March, transitioned to eToro UK after the client base was sold to Capital.com.
With nearly 20 years of experience in FX firms, Gladding began his career at IG Group in 2004, where he served as a Market Maker in FX, stocks, and futures before specializing in vanilla and binary options.
"Excited to be working in the world of zero commission stocks, real crypto, derivatives, copy trading, debit cards, e-wallets, and much more!" Gladding posts on social media, LinkedIn.
Between December 2019 and November 2020, Gladding held the positions of Head of Risk and Director of SMF3 at Admirals. During this time, he played a pivotal role in helping the Estonia-based FX/CFD broker establish a new risk function at its UK subsidiary. Gladding has held various roles in forex brokerages, including StoneX, Index Capital, Gain Capital, and GFT Global Markets UK Limited.
Notably, many former Oval Money executives have found new positions at other brokerages, reflecting the resilience and adaptability of industry professionals in the financial sector.
