Forex Broker FIBO Releases CySEC License
FIBO Markets officially hands over its CySEC license and withdraws from Cyprus, following the trend of brokers leaving the region due to increasingly strict regulations.

The forex broker FIBO Markets has ended its status as a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF). The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) officially revoked FIBO's investment license on August 25, 2025, marking the end of a process that began in late 2024. Although the forex and CFD broker initially hoped the process would be completed by April 30, 2025, the regulator required several additional months to issue a final decision regarding the company registered under number 118/10.
This step is in line with the trend of stricter supervision by CySEC, which has been penalizing brokers that are no longer active or fail to meet operational standards. As part of related actions, the Investor Compensation Fund (ICF) also removed four companies—Oasis Wealth Management, The Alternative GMI, Itrade Global (CY), and Viverno Market—although client compensation rights for previous investments remain protected.
In a statement in December 2024, the company previously known as FIBO Group forex broker, assured its clients. "We greatly appreciate the trust that has been placed in us over the years. We are also committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent transition for all of our clients," the company wrote.
Although its operations in Cyprus have been halted, FIBO forex broker has not exited the game. The company continues to operate under a different entity regulated by the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (FSC), with license number SIBA/L/13/1063.
The website FIBOMarkets.com now displays a notice about the license revocation, while FIBOGroup.com remains active in other jurisdictions. Stay tuned for further updates by following our forex broker news!
