eToro Launches AUD Accounts for Easier Investing in Australia
Australian investors have just received an update from eToro. The platform now supports AUD accounts and recurring investments, as well as integration with Spaceship, making the investment process easier and more efficient.

Recognizing the rapid digital transformation in the Australian investment market, popular copy trading broker eToro has taken a significant step to enhance its local offering. By launching a dedicated AUD (Australian Dollar) account and a suite of new features, forex broker eToro combines cross-currency flexibility with significant cost efficiency for Australian users.
Previously, local investors had to pay conversion fees every time they transacted in USD. The introduction of the AUD account changes this, giving investors much greater control over their expenses and risk management.
Doron Rosenblum, Executive Vice President of Business Solutions at forex broker eToro, highlighted this shift: "The introduction of the AUD account empowers retail investors to manage risk and costs more strategically. We want the trading experience to feel local, yet with global standards."
Key Benefits of the New AUD Account
This new structure provides immediate advantages, allowing investors to save money and choose how to manage their currency risk:
- No Conversion Fees: Enjoy a full AUD account and avoid conversion fees when investing directly in Australian dollars.
- Dual-Currency Flexibility: Investors can choose between an AUD or USD account depending on their preferred currency exposure.
- Discounted Conversions: Reduced AUD/USD conversion fees, ranging from 0.75% to 0.15%, depending on the client's eToro Club tier.
- Interest on Cash Balances: Instant interest on AUD balances, with USD balances offering up to 4.05% interest.
New Feature Launches
The launch of the AUD account is just part of a broader innovation push. eToro has also introduced several other features tailored for the Australian market:
- Recurring Investments: This feature allows users to set up periodic automatic purchases of stocks, ETFs, and crypto assets, making it easier to implement a dollar-cost averaging strategy.
- Direct Crypto Deposits: Traders can now make direct crypto deposits for BTC, ETH, USDC, and XRP, which are then converted to AUD.
- Open Banking Integration: Enables instant bank transfers directly from the eToro app for faster funding.
Furthermore, in the latest forex broker news, it was reported that eToro is preparing a major integration with Spaceship Super, the superannuation fund company it acquired last year. This move aims to allow Australian users to manage their investments and superannuation seamlessly from a single integrated platform.
