- Does anyone use a fixed rate? What are the advantages and disadvantages? How does it affect trading? Which broker has the best fixrate feature? Are firewoodfx and fxoptimax good? Besides those 2 brokers, what other brokers have fixed rates?
The advantage of using a fixed rate is for deposits and withdrawals using a fixed USD/IDR exchange rate. In this case, the benefit is that if USD/IDR rises or the Rupiah weakens, when withdrawing the trader benefits because they receive a larger Rupiah value. The disadvantage is that if the Rupiah strengthens or USD/IDR falls, the trader loses because they receive less Rupiah.
Regarding which broker is good, we recommend choosing a broker that is already regulated by a credible international regulatory body, namely: CFTC, NFA, FCA, FSA, FINMA, MiFID, ASIC and FMA.
A credible regulatory body is one that has been tested and internationally recognized, and imposes strict sanctions on brokers if they violate agreed-upon terms. The regulatory body is also responsible for the security of client funds.
