Why don't foreign brokers just take care of obtaining permits in Indonesia to have clear legality in Indonesia if they want to get many clients? There are so many clients who use their services, and many foreign brokers also sponsor charity activities, etc., in Indonesia. Is it because the permit process is too difficult??? I would appreciate a master's explanation... I am a newcomer to the forex world... Thank you...

Yes, as far as we know, obtaining a license from Bappebti for foreign brokers is indeed difficult. There was once a foreign broker called MasterForex that tried to get a license from Bappebti, but always failed due to changing requirements and legal regulations.
From the information we received, Bappebti only grants licenses to brokers originating from Indonesia, so their headquarters must be in Indonesia.
