I want to ask the master, where do the data sources for forex price movements displayed on the metatrader platform actually come from? If the answer is that forex doesn't have a center, maybe many already know, but can we know the source or maybe the center where brokers or exchange participants take the data that is collected and the same all over the world to be displayed on their platform actually comes from where? thank you master for your answer
@ Gun:
The bid prices offered by brokers are obtained from liquidity providers, which are affiliated companies of the broker.

As for ask prices, these can be set by the broker themselves, depending on the spread offered.
Each broker has liquidity providers that may differ or be the same, for example, the liquidity provider for RoboForex broker is Citibank.
Liquidity providers are financial institutions or major banks such as UBS, Citibank, JP Morgan, Bank of America, Deutsch Bank, Barclays Bank, etc.
The prices offered by liquidity providers are not exactly the same, but not much different. Therefore, price movements at each broker can be different, but not too far apart.
