@ teguh s:

1. In my opinion, it is not internationally legal. This broker is only registered in the Republic of Montenegro, so it can only be considered legal in that country.
In the world of forex trading, brokers considered legal are those regulated by internationally credible regulatory bodies, namely: CFTC and NFA (US), FCA (UK), FSA (European and Japanese countries), FINMA (Switzerland), MiFID, ASIC (Australia) and FMA (New Zealand).

2. Including the Dealing Desk (DD) and market maker types.

3. In my opinion, it is safe if the funds are not large because Agea Jinrong DOO (their current company name) has quite a lot of clients in Indonesia. If trading with large funds, it is feared that if this broker scams, your funds will be difficult to withdraw. How much is considered a large amount of funds is relative, depending on each trader's assessment.

4. As far as I know, professional traders who are used to managing large funds do not trade with this broker, one of the reasons being the regulatory factor. Usually experienced traders consider this broker suitable for beginner traders. If you pay attention to the chat column, most of those interacting are beginner traders.

However, in my opinion, their support is quite good. Deposits and withdrawals are also relatively fast, especially those using e-currency or online transfer services. In terms of the quoted prices are also fair and I don't think they use software to cheat, for example for stop loss hunting.

Rachmat 17 Feb 2012, 14:16

Trading on Marketiva, now known as Agea, is also possible with MT4. Because there is already a special MT4 account there.

To den_alba,

You can open a dedicated MT4 account with Agea broker.

Hope this helps.

I would like to ask, what is your opinion about the Marketiva broker?
R
Rachmat 23 Feb 2012, 14:09

Marketiva is a fairly popular broker. From small-capital traders to large-capital traders, everyone knows this broker. However, of course, there are advantages and disadvantages. The trading software is a bit different from other brokers, which generally use Meta Trader 4.

At this broker, you can interact directly with other traders and also directly interact with the Marketiva support team. A $5 welcome bonus can be obtained when you register with this broker without having to make a deposit. You can trade demo as well as real trading using Marketiva software, that is the advantage of this broker.

The disadvantage of Marketiva is that it limits and provides a time gap for scalping trading models. Scalping enthusiasts may not be suitable for this broker. Experience when using Marketiva often results in account suspension and requires confirmation due to implementing Scalping.

Marketiva is a company that has been established since 2005, meaning that Marketiva has been around for 7 years to date. And if we look at statistics, companies that are not managed well and properly will collapse in the first or second year, but Marketiva, which is managed professionally, has survived for 7 years.

Usually, companies that will scam and defraud come from HYIP programs, which promise large profits if we invest there in a few days or months but usually don't last long because their system is HIT and RUN... Get money and then they run away. Currently it is the age of the internet and all information can be found on the internet, and if Marketiva does not pay its customers, this information will spread quickly and Marketiva will not have lasted this long. So Marketiva is a very good financial company and processes all of its customers' transactions.

What is the legality of the company?

Initially, Marketiva only listed its office address in the British Virgin Islands and Switzerland, but now Marketiva has become an official brokerage company in Montenegro, located in Europe.

Is it true that web marketiva has changed to agea[dot]com?
R
Rachmat 29 Apr 2012, 21:38

Yes. Since April 28, 2012, Marketiva has been using a new name, AGEA. This change was made to provide the best trading experience for users. One difference is that users can use MetaTrader MT4 as a trading platform without removing/replacing the previous platform, Streamster. Users can choose to use Streamster or MT4. In addition to MetaTrader support, Agea also supports mobile trading through Android, Windows mobile, Iphone, and other mobile devices. The transition from Marketiva to AGEA does not change your trading account data at Marketiva and your previous trading history. All you need to do is install the Streamster Agea platform and log in with the username and password you already have at Marketiva. You do not need to open a new account.

This is proof that the existence of Marketiva should not be underestimated. The accusations that Marketiva is a scam are false.

Thanks

Master, I was acquainted with AGEA, formerly Marketiva, 2 years ago. Have you ever seen photos of their office, which is said to be in Montenegro? Thanks for your answer.

M
m yahya 22 May 2012, 11:03

How is the trading experience at agea? I'm thinking of trying it out because people say it's good for beginners........

M
martin 25 May 2012, 01:51

@ nustakim:

Been there. Back then when Marketiva was still around, a photo of its head office in Montenegro was displayed. If you want to know the office photo, you can ask their customer support via chatting. If asked for what purpose, just say you want to visit there, they will be informed completely with the flight route...

@ m yahya:

I have traded at Marketiva (now rebranded as Agea). Support is quite okay and deposits & withdrawals are fast, but back then I used e-currency. The only drawback is that this broker is not regulated by a credible international regulatory body, and at that time the trading platform was simple, using Streamster. It was less complete for technical analysis. It's still the same now, but if I'm not mistaken, there's also a Metatrader 4 version. In addition, price volatility on Streamster is higher. But in terms of order execution etc. it's quite fair.

In my opinion, it's okay to learn with this broker, but don't deposit large funds, according to my feeling it could be dangerous because it is not regulated by a credible international regulatory body…

These past 2 weeks agea has been difficult to open, what's wrong masters?
M
Mina 06 Dec 2013, 09:10

Perhaps it was because it was affected by the blocking of the broker's site at that time. Currently, the AGEA site can be accessed easily again.

S
Sudiarno 02 Apr 2014, 15:03
Why is Agea currently difficult to access?
R
Rachmat 04 Apr 2014, 22:26

This is likely due to positive internet filtering, try going to an internet cafe to WD, deposit or open an account. For trading, you can use the modem there.

Or you can google how to open sites that are affected by positive internet filtering.

Thanks.

06 Apr 2014, 15:16

Sure, sir. Please visit the AGEA website on its official website.

I want to ask if agea.com is a dealing desk broker or not.
M
martin 08 Nov 2016, 05:15

@ ahmad yusuf:

In my opinion, the broker is based in Pak. Its regulation is only registered in the Republic of Montenegro. You can read its profile at: Agea Broker Profile and Review.
But you don't need to worry about trading with not-so-large funds because Agea Jinrong DOO (its current company name) has quite a lot of clients in Indonesia. Many of its customer support staff who handle chatting are also from Indonesia.

In addition, Agea has been operating for a long time, since its name was Marketiva which was established in 2003 and changed to Agea in 2012. Also, its flagship trading platform, Streamster, is popular among traders because it is very flexible and practical. In addition to trading charts and account information, chatting and news can also be displayed at once.

I also used to trade at Agea when it was still Marketiva, but with small funds. Deposits and withdrawals were smooth. At that time I traded with the e-currency LR (Liberty Reserve).

Withdrawals were clarified and directly entered into the account in just hours, because there were many customer support staff who were caring. During my trading at Marketiva / Agea, there were never any problems either during trading or when withdrawing. In my opinion, the broker is quite fair, does not manipulate prices or spreads, and is not a stop loss hunter. They chase turnover rather than seeking profits through fraudulent means.

I stopped trading at Marketiva / Agea because LR was a scam. In this case, the scam was the e-currency company LR, not Agea, and Agea still exists today even though it has many competitors.

I would like to ask, sir/madam
If I deposit $500 to a forex broker, which one is trustworthy and won't be blocked by Kominfo?

2) My Agea broker is blocked, how can I unblock it? I haven’t had time to withdraw my funds.
Thank you.

@ deddy wahyudi:

1. Some foreign forex broker sites are indeed blocked by the government. Those that are not currently blocked may also be blocked in the future. If you are interested in trading with foreign brokers, please read this.

In addition, you can also communicate via their representative or IB broker in Indonesia. As far as we know, many foreign brokers have IBs or representatives in Indonesia.
For a list of brokers, please read this and this.

2. Please read here. You can also ask Agea broker directly on their website, in the live support section.

Excuse me, I'd like to ask the forex experts here.

I have a streamster demo account at agea (sorry, not a real account yet), and after being affected by positive internet filtering, I can no longer open it.
After getting to know the extension toolbar in chrome, I can open the trading website from agea.
But the streamster account is not recognized at all, as if it never existed. Before being affected by positive internet filtering, it could be opened through the trading website.

What could be the problem....???
Is it possible to create the same account again (demo)....???

M
martin 24 Jan 2019, 05:32

@ Budi:

- I have a streamster demo account on agea (sorry, not a real account yet), ….

As far as I know, a Streamster account on Agea is sufficient once. If you create a demo account and complete identity verification, that account can become a real account. The account number does not change.

Regarding the issues you are experiencing, please ask directly via chat with Agea Indonesia, which is an affiliate of AGEA Jinrong.
