I'm just learning forex trading and I'm currently choosing a broker. I'm comparing two brokers, OctaFX and Exness.
Unfortunately, the internet connection on Exness's Mt4 platform is not good, with a high ping, and when I check the Market Watch, it's not normal. The seconds jump from 15 to 20, while on Mt4 Octafx it's normal. Why is this?
Is there something wrong with the settings on Mt4 Exness? I've tried rescanning the server multiple times, and the server names are also strange, like DC04 and DC06, while on Octafx the servers are in Jakarta and Singapore.

To Gunawan,
We believe this is very common among Indonesian traders considering the connectivity and network connections provided by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Indonesia are still unstable. This is why we sometimes experience delays in connection with fairly high ping even when connected to the nearest broker server. The solution, you could try switching to another better connection.
Regarding the naming of trading servers, it is entirely the authority of the broker itself. And in our opinion, as long as there is no indication of fraud (such as data manipulation, stop loss hunter, etc.) then this is not a problem.
Hopefully this can help.

It turns out someone else has already asked this. I've also been wondering about this for the past few days. If it's blocked by Kominfo, would the latest Octa be faster? Does changing this connection change providers? Because sometimes using a red plate number is slow. What about using a VPS, Sir? Is that possible?

To Alfian,
That's right, sir. Switching internet connections certainly means switching to a better ISP service. You can also use a VPN or VPS service (can be free or paid) as an alternative solution if it is not possible to switch ISPs (or if there are no other ISPs with better network connections).
