To Deviana,

That broker is a local broker, registered with BAPPEBTI. I personally have never traded with that broker.

Specifically regarding local brokers:

  1. Commission values may be quite large, comparable to or possibly greater than ECN accounts with offshore brokers.
  2. There is no smallest lot size, if any it may be on a mini account, starting with a lot of 0.10, with limited leverage options.

The advantages:
You can visit/know their office, because it is still in Indonesia and you can ask for more details.

Meanwhile Market Maker Brokers are most easily recognized by the following characteristics:

  • Market Maker Brokers generally set many convoluted trading rules (terms and conditions). Because the element of conflict of interest between the broker and the client is very high, the articles in the trading rules are deliberately made to give the broker a way out to not fulfill their obligations as promised to the trader.
  • On the trading software, there are often delays or accelerations in order execution, price freezes, price manipulation, and so on. The goal is to make traders easily lose.
  • In order to keep people interested, Market Maker Brokers usually offer a lot of fantastic promotions and bonuses. For example, leverage up to 1:1000 or more, Fixed Spread (not in line with the Market), deposit bonuses of several hundred percent, can transfer via third parties, and so on. The target is to make it easier for people to deposit funds with them.

You can try their demo platform first. If you feel comfortable, you can continue by opening an account, and be prepared to accept the consequences.

Thanks.
