Withdraw Via Problem Visa, Alpari And InstaForex Send Notifications

After the Christmas holidays, it seems that a number of traders will experience difficulties withdrawing funds from their trading accounts due to the technical difficulties experienced by the Visa payment system. This sudden problem surfaced after notifications from brokers Alpari and InstaForex circulated.

On December 22, 2017, Alpari broker announced the withdrawal process (withdrawal of funds) suspension via cards with the Visa logo until February 1, 2018. Not mentioned in detail about the cause of the suspension was other than " technical difficulties ". However, in its circular, Alpari stated that withdrawals in US Dollars (USD) and Euros (EUR) can still be made via cards with the MasterCard logo.

Then on December 26, 2017, it was InstaForex broker turn to send a statement regarding the Visa payment system. According to InstaForex, due to technical problems on the part of partner banks, the withdrawal process via Visa cards denominated in EUR and USD may experience up to 5-7 days. Withdrawals via Visa are expected to return to normal on January 2-3, 2018. However, InstaForex says traders can withdraw funds via other payment methods, such as Neteller, Skrill, and MegaTransfer.

It is not clear what the background of the technical problems involved in this withdrawal via card with the Visa logo is not known. It's just that if a red line is drawn from the two announcements that both originate from forex brokers based in Russia, then this may be related to the steps taken by the Russian government to hinder the development of payment systems from the United States (such as Visa and Mastercard) in their country. Because it allegedly contains a "security threat".
