Vasilis Sotiriou Joins IC Markets as Global Head of Risk
IC Markets appoints Vasilis Sotiriou as its new Head of Global Risk. Sotiriou brings experience from his previous position at 26 Degrees

Forex broker IC Markets announced two major appointments to strengthen its leadership team. On December 10, 2024, the multi-asset brokerage appointed Vasilis Sotiriou as its new Head of Global Risk.
Sotiriou has extensive experience, having previously served as Head of Risk Management for three years at 26 Degrees, a globally regulated broker. Early in his career, he held positions at forex broker IC Markets as Group Risk Manager for one year and Senior Dealer for two years. He also served as Chief Risk Officer at a Cypriot investment company.
In addition, IC Markets welcomes Ben Singleton as General Manager. Singleton, who spent 17 years at Crédit Agricole CIB in Hong Kong, holds the role of Executive Director, where he oversees G10 FX Trading, including spot, swap, precious metals and e-FX/Algo trading. His expertise in market making and trade execution adds a valuable edge to IC Markets's operations.
With this important hire, IC Markets looks to strengthen its risk management framework, expand its presence in global markets and deliver sustainable growth. Both Sotiriou and Singleton bring a wealth of knowledge to improve trading strategies and client support.
In other forex broker news, IC Markets has integrated the tool TipRanks's research, provides clients with advanced features such as the News Sentiment tool, which analyzes headlines from more than 130 financial websites, and the Hedge Fund Activity tracker, which shows shifts in portfolios institutional. TipRanks CEO Uri Gruenbaum said the tool will enhance the trading experience by offering access to market insights and analyst ratings.
