Forex Broker Markets4you Enhances Security with 2FA Authentication
Markets4you is stepping up their security! They have just launched an optional two-factor authentication (2FA) feature using Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) technology. This means you can add an extra layer of protection to your account.
To strengthen the security of your account, the forex broker Markets4you has announced the optional implementation of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all users who access their accounts. This new security feature, which uses the Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) method, provides clients of this copy trading broker with an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access.
This forex broker news follows similar security enhancements seen in the forex industry, such as the adoption of OTP verification by ThinkMarkets previously.
Clients of forex broker Markets4you can now easily manage their 2FA settings within their trading space. The newly added "Security" tab offers flexibility to enable or disable this enhanced security measure according to individual preferences.
The 2FA system introduces an additional step to the standard login procedure. After entering their password, traders will be prompted to enter an additional 6-digit security code. This code is dynamically generated by the Authenticator app on the user's mobile device, making it much harder for unauthorized individuals to gain access, even if they have the user's password.
Once 2FA is activated, users will need to enter a new code from their Authenticator app each time they log in. Alternatively, for convenience, users have the option to remember a specific browser for a 30-day period, reducing the frequency of entering the code on trusted devices. The 2FA system at Markets4you is compatible with widely-known Authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, or other trusted Authenticator apps.
Connecting the Authenticator app to your Markets4you account is an easy process:
- Download the authenticator app on your phone.
- Enable 2FA in the "Security" tab in the settings of your Markets4you trading room.
- Confirm this action by entering the one-time code sent to you via email or phone.
- Scan the QR code displayed on your screen or enter the code manually into your chosen Authenticator app.
- After that, a 6-digit code will appear in the Authenticator app for a limited time.
- Enter this code into the Markets4you login prompt before it expires.
Currently, 2FA functionality is exclusively available for the Web Trader Room.
