Good evening master, I want to ask, I registered at Grand Capital with a $500 bonus account, and I traded 0.01 lot and made a profit of $3,449.00. However, my balance is $0 and my equity is $3,449.00. What does this mean? Please enlighten me.

To Ali Mustofa...

For trading no-deposit bonuses, it's like that. Trading results will go to equity. And you can withdraw according to the broker's terms. If you make a deposit, the funds will go to the balance.

Thanks

What is actually the difference between balance & equity?
Sorry, I'm still a beginner.

To King,

Balance is the total funds available in a trading account, while Equity is the remaining funds available after open positions are open. Equity can fluctuate along with open positions, if open positions - (minus), if open positions + (profit) increase.

While balance can increase and decrease when open positions are closed.

Example:

Balance 1,000.00 USD
Minus -1.00 USD

Balance - Open position = Equity
1,000.00 - 1.00  = 999.00

Then you close in a minus state,
then Loss -1.00 USD
Balance becomes  999.00.

Please try it on a demo account.

Thanks
