@ dedi:
- As far as I know, among the various Alparis, the most credible is Alpari UK, because its headquarters are indeed in London.
- The quality of Alpari UK is on par with other regulated brokers such as FXCM, Oanda, IBFX etc., and is regulated by the CFTC, NFA and FCA (UK).
@ Pipin:
Currently, Alpari's headquarters are in 6 locations: in Kazan (Russia), London (England), Auckland (New Zealand), Kingstown (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), Ebene Cyber City (Mauritius) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
The London headquarters has been declared bankrupt since January 16, 2015 due to the SNB unexpectedly canceling the CHF peg against the EUR, causing the CHF to strengthen sharply.
So now there are 5 Alpari headquarters with their respective codes and websites as follows:
Each headquarters has a service area (region). Looking at the websites of the 5 headquarters, alpari.com and alpari-broker.ru (Russia) are different.
Alpari.com is likely the one in Kingstown, and if you enter its website, its coverage area includes India, Indonesia, Nigeria and Russia. If you say that the only site still working is alpari.com, it is likely that the Russian one has been merged with Kingstown, like the Indian headquarters (in Mumbai) which was closed in 2014 and merged with Kingstown.
Here's the view for the Alpari website:
From the most credible information we have, it is Alpari UK, and reportedly they are currently looking for a financier to be able to operate again.
Thank you very much, Mr. Martin.
Very helpful.
