It is advisable if you have been able to generate consistent profits in a demo account.
To be able to generate consistent profits, you must have a profitable trading system. A trading system consists of a strategy, a plan, and a trading journal.
A trading system consists of methods, entry and exit strategies and money management strategies. Methods include the technical indicators used, and are usually adjusted to your trading type, whether you want to trade in the short term (scalping or day trading), medium term or long term. Money management includes the amount of risk per trade and the risk/reward ratio. In order to be profitable in the long run, it is advisable for the risk/reward ratio to be greater than 1:1.
After that, first test the trading system in a demo account to find out the percentage of profit, can be done with backtesting and/or forward testing. If the average profit after several trades is greater than the average loss (in this case the percentage of profit is higher than 50%), then the possibility of obtaining consistent profits is high.
