1. I haven't tried it yet but I don't think it matters because each meta is independent (the account numbers are different) even though the EA is the same.
Backtest results can indeed be different from real results because backtests are based on past price movement data while real results are based on current price movements which may not be the same as previous historical movements. Backtesting is only to find out an estimate of whether a method or strategy is profitable or not.
2. I think that's because the connection between your VPS server and your broker's server was interrupted, and you didn't save the password in Metatrader (save account information) so when you reconnect your account doesn't immediately activate.
