Want to start trading forex but are still confused about how? Follow these instructions to easily start the steps to open a live account at broker IronFX.

IronFX provides two different registration paths for demo and live accounts. If you don't have any trading experience or just want to sample the trading facilities of IronFX, register for a demo account. But if you are already experienced, you can register a live account directly.

IronFX Demo Account Registration

Registering for a demo account is very simple, you just need to access this link and fill out a short form available on that page. An email containing a password and a platform download link will then be sent to your inbox. You can immediately practice forex trading after downloading the platform.

As you can see in the image, there are four types of demo accounts provided by IronFx. Each differs in order execution. To practice forex trading, choose the standard demo form. The STP demo is for those who want to open an STP account, and the ZFS demo is for those interested in a Zero Fixed Spread account.

IronFX Live Account Registration

If you want to register for live trading, the process is longer, but still relatively simple. Access the registration form via this link, then follow these three easy steps:

  1. Creating an Account
There are three short forms to fill out. In the first form, you will be asked to fill in your email address, full name, country of origin, and home and mobile phone numbers.

  2. Filling Out Personal Data Form
Once that's complete, you can move on to the second form which asks for personal information, employment, finances, trading experience, investment knowledge, and the type of account you will choose.
    1. Personal and employment information are two questions commonly asked by any broker when you register. This information is needed to clarify the source of funds used for trading, and to protect you from suspicion.
    2. The third detail asked is information about your financial condition. You are asked to state your estimated annual income and estimated net worth, both in US Dollars. Remember to convert first if your actual salary is in Rupiah or another currency.
    3. The fourth question, you are asked to state what instruments you have traded in the last two years, whether Forex and CFDs, Stocks and Bonds, or other derivative products. If you have never traded before, you do not need to answer this question, just proceed to the fifth question.
    4. The fifth question attempts to measure your investment knowledge with two questions:
      1. Have you ever attended a seminar or training on CFDs and Forex?
      2. Do you have a work background or similar that helps you understand the products, services, and risks in this business?
    5. In the sixth column, first you select your account type. The choices there are five: live floating spread (account with a floating spread), live fixed spread (account with a fixed spread), live zero spread (account with no spread), STP/ECN without commission, and STP/ECN without spread. Those of you who want to open Micro, Premium, and VIP accounts can choose between the first two options, live floating spread or live fixed spread, according to your preference. After that, create a nickname that will appear on your trading platform, the base currency in your account (there are nine options: USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, JPY, CHF, PLN, RUB, HUF), and leverage options up to 1:500. Finally, enter your username (email address) and password of your choice

  3. Upload Documents
The two documents required to register with IronFx are a color scan of your identity card (passport/ID card) and a scan of a bill dated within the last six months (tax bill, credit card, or bank statement). Please upload these documents in the fields provided.

If you don't have a scan of these documents yet, you can skip them for now, and go to the next column. In the next column, you can choose whether to receive newsletters and promotional news provided by IronFX or not. Finally, you need to read and agree to several important documents accessible from the hyperlinks on the form. These documents relate to trading activities and are an initial agreement between you and the broker, so be sure to read them carefully before checking (agreeing).

If you didn't upload a scan of the documents earlier, be sure to upload them in the client portal as soon as possible, as you won't be able to start trading until both documents are uploaded and verified by staff from IronFX.
