Pepperstone Expands US Stock CFD Offering Beyond 100 Assets

Pepperstone expands its 24-hour US stock CFD range by adding 79 new stocks, including Tesla and Nvidia.

Pepperstone, ASIC regulated forex broker, has expanded its range of 24-hour US stock CFDs, adding 79 new stocks such as ASML, Palantir, Baidu, GameStop, Uber, Netflix, Mastercard, and Visa

This move was made in response to increasing demand for 24-hour US stock CFD offerings, as more and more traders switch to after-hours trading.

Since launching in March 2024, Pepperstone has seen a significant increase in overnight trading activity, driven by various factors such as corporate earnings releases, economic data announcements, and the latest news.

These events often cause major price movements outside regular trading hours, making after-hours trading an attractive option for traders looking to take advantage of market fluctuations.

Why More and More Traders Are Choosing to Trade After Working Hours

Usually, traders who follow standard exchange hours often face price gaps, missed opportunities, or fast-moving markets. However, trading after-hours provides a more stable environment with less significant price changes compared to busy market hours.

Analysts at TradingView's partner broker notice an increased interest in overnight trading for major US stocks such as Tesla, Nvidia, and Alphabet. Data shows that:

  • 97% of Tesla's profits occurred outside of the Nasdaq trading hours.
  • 82% of Nvidia's price movements occurred during after-hours trading.
  • 91% of Alphabet's gains were recorded outside of regular trading hours.

Chris Weston, Head of Research at Pepperstone forex broker, highlights this trend by stating: "Data shows that traders thriving in high volatility periods may find overnight sessions more profitable. The ability to react at any time is a major advantage, and 24-hour US equity prices may become the new standard for equity traders. With Nvidia's earnings report soon to be released, this is definitely something to watch."
